Student Success
At Elsie MacGill Secondary School, we know that "success" can mean different things to different people. That is why our Student Success teacher and the Support Services team strives to help students find and understand their own personal success. They work closely with classroom teachers, special education resource teachers (SERTs), guidance counsellors, and school social workers to help support you and help you find your pathway to success!
For student success inquiries, please connect with Andrea Hyde at hydea@hdsb.ca.
Special Education
The role of the Special Education Resource Teacher (SERT) is layered. A student's SERT is tasked with IEP management, in-class support, student advocacy, being a point of contact for students, teachers, and home, and offering teacher support. To learn more about Mr. Adam Baxter, the Head of Special Education and Elsie's MacGill's SERT, please click here.
